Whether you install it yourself, or have an Authorized Dealer do it for you, our System Kits have everything you will need. Simply choose the Kit that meets your present needs. The SPS Residential Power Kits are modular, your system is never obsolete. It is easy to expand your system by adding components.

Choosing a Solar Power System Kit... The first step to selecting a Power Kit is to assess your power needs. See our page on “About Electricity” for the Appliance Power Rating Guide to help you do this. Once your typical daily power consumption has been established, consult the table below for the right size kit to meet your needs. Based on an average of five hours of sunlight per day, spring to fall, our Kits will provide the power shown below. Your actual power output will vary due to weather conditions and your location. If your cottage is used only on weekends, you will accumulate energy all week, which you can then use on the weekend. Many energy saving DC appliances and accessories are available and can be found throughout the pages of this website. Installing Systems to Electrical Code... Check with your state concerning the guidelines governing the installation of solar electric systems. This means issues like grounding, fuses, disconnects, wire sizing etc. must all conform to code. Even if your system won’t be inspected, we recommend that for safety, code rules be followed.

	Cottage-100 The Cottage-100 Kit offers more power for DC appliances such as a water pump, a cellular telephone, or with a small inverter,a TV and VCR. The Cottage-100 Kit features the Shell SM-100 solar module to quickly recharge your battery bank. 	Cottage-170 The Cottage-170 Kit is a great choice for larger summer homes or as a starter for full-time residences. It features two Laser Grooved BP-85 solar modules for more power from a smaller solar array. It also includes a Solar Boost controller to maximize panel output in all temperatures.  The Cottage-170 will run both indoor and outdoor lighting and a water pump. With an optional inverter, you can run a microwave oven, vacuum cleaner and a full size stereo. A complete kit ready for installation. 	Cottage-225 The Cottage-225 Kit is our most popular solar power system! A powerful solar array with an engineered control centre make it the ideal choice for larger summer homes or as a starter for full-time residences. With three Shell SP-75 solar modules to recharge your battery bank, the Cottage-225 Kit will run both indoor and outdoor lighting and a water pump.  With an optional inverter, you can run a microwave oven, vacuum cleaner and a full size stereo. 	Cottage-320 With 320 watts of charging power using the high efficiency BP80 solar modules, the Cottage-320 Kit is a great choice for larger summer homes or as a starter for full-time residences. The SPS Home Power Centre includes a Solar Boost controller for even more power in all light levels. With an optional inverter, you can run a microwave oven, vacuum cleaner and a full size stereo. 	Advanced Home Power System-400 The AHPS-400 Kit is designed for the year round residence or large summer home. Four Shell SM-100 solar modules quickly charge your battery bank at rates of up to 24 amps. Installation is made easy as the AHPS-400 comes as a complete kit, with a 2400 watt inverter pre-wired on a SPS Powerboard. The DR2412 allows you to use AC appliances such as blenders, vacuums or power tools. The Powerboard is wired directly into the electrical panel to feed house circuits. Electricity 24 hours a day — without the noise of a generator!  The AHPS will produce from 1 to 2 kWHrs per day, depending on weather conditions. The system may be expanded by adding more solar modules and/ or a wind generator. In addition, a generator can be used to provide extra charging during the winter. 	Advanced Home Power System-680 The AHPS-680 Kit is designed for the year round residence or large summer home. Eight BP-85 solar modules deliver up to 680 watts, and quickly charge a 24 V battery bank. The high efficiency panels are matched with the Outback SB-60 regulator with Maximum Power Point Tracking, giving you even more power in the winter. The kit features a 2000 W sine wave inverter built into an SPS Powerboard for easy installation. The MX-2024 has clean power for TV’s and computers, but plenty of horsepower for vacuums or power tools. The AHPS-680 will produce from 1 to 3.5 kWHrs per day, depending on weather conditions.  The system may be expanded by adding more solar modules and/or a wind generator. In addition, a generator can be used to provide extra charging during the winter.
